Katherine McKay is a Collage / Photography based artist working out of Ottawa. She uses altered and deconstructed photographs to challenge the memory of our interactions with domestic spaces. Exploring the relationship between function, practicality and perception. She completed a BFA from OCAD University in 2018. Specializing in Drawing and Painting and minoring in Photography.

What kind of artwork do you have in your home?
Lots of artwork by my great grandmother!
When did you start making art, and why?
When I was a teenager. I always thought I would be something other than an artist but when other things failed art was always there to find comfort in.
Best season of the year in Toronto
Fall. When the leaves have just changed colour and there is a bite in the air but the sky remains bright and beautiful.
Describe your home in 3 words
Eclectic, worn, and passed down.
Jays vs. Raptors
Raptors (but I am more likely to be watching Tennis).
